The beach of Arugam Bay is located on the South-East of Sri Lanka, 3 km from the town of Pottuvil near the fishing village. The beach is perfect for families – huge sandy beach and ocean waves not big even for children. The average annual temperature is +30°C and quite a lot of Sunny days with a nice refreshing wind. Precipitation is very low, compared to other parts of the island, due to the fact that Arugam Bay is surrounded by jungle, lakes and wetlands. The best season is between May to November, when the wind is blowing from the shore during the first half of the day. Arugam Bay is bordered by the Eastern part of Yala National Park. In the sanctuary you can watch huge herds of elephants in the presence of a myriad of strange birds. The hotel offers a large number of affordable and different levels of hotels, apartments, villas and guest houses located along the coast.
