Koggala Beach is 120 km from Colombo and 8 km from Galle City.

Koggala is one of the longest & beautiful beaches in island Sri Lanka.

Large dry season begin from December to March, and  Small dry season begin from July to August.

The beach is a nesting area for marine turtles. They visit the island during the breeding season. And if you lucky, in live can see the laying process. Oh, you can visit The Sea turtles conservation station, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia.

At Koggala Beach may see the ancient practice of Stilt fishing on the coastlines.
