Vipassana Meditation – ten-day residential courses during which participants learn the basics of the method. Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India’s most ancient techniques of meditation. It was rediscovered by Gotama Buddha more than 2500 years ago and was taught by him as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art of Living.
Location: From Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake, the distance to the meditation centre is 78 km (42 miles) approximately via Colombo. The Centre is located close to the 47th km post on Colombo – Ratnapura (A4) Road (also called High Level Road) in Pahala Kogama village and is easily accessible by road and rail.
