There is a tropical climate without extremes of temperature: which averages + 27°C (80°F) in Colombo and its suburbs, rising to as much as +38°C (100°F) in the semi-arid northwest and cooling off to +16°C (61°F) at higher evevations of the central hill country. There are no real marked seasons, but it has two monsoons. The southwest monsoon mainly affects the southern, western and central regions during May to July; while the northeast monsoon brings rain to the north and east from November to January. Due to the island’s mountains in the central southern region the two monsoons affect various parts of the island very differently. To check the daily weather in SriLanka.
